Description

In the new series of works, Enrico Rinaldi is explicitly inspired by Andy Warhol’s great pictorial and graphic lesson right from the title: David Bowie “… in the manner of Andy Warhol,” 70s / 80s ” Warhol, in the series dedicated to the characters and myths of the time (from Marilyn to Mao), had used screen printing because it gave him the possibility of using bright colors, unusual and never seen in painting and, above all, it allowed him almost unlimited editions of works. In fact, in his conception of art, it was not important to have a single work signed for a few collectors, but to reach as much public as possible. Today, even Warhol would use digital techniques and who knows what variations and effects he would have achieved with his artistic intuitions of him … … and that’s what Rinaldi does, taking up that lesson, with the addition of the new possibilities made available by the developments in graphics. David Bowie is the subject chosen by Rinaldi, who offers us 21 variants, as a result of his graphic interventions, starting from a first image of the well-known Pop character. We can define as a “Graphic work” the final result which includes interventions with different techniques and processing, on a first image that forms the basis for the artist’s subsequent creative intervention. Each work has the following characteristics: Image size: 22.5cm x 22.5cm Paper size: 27.5cm x 37.5cm Edition: 100 numbered and hand signed copies Published by Galleria BAC ART STUDIO, Venice
