Francesco Barasciutti was born in Venice in 1969, the son of a skilful photographer. A professional photographer himself since 1987, he has devoted himself to the portrait, still-life and reportage.
Among his exhibitions, the participation at the 46. Biennale di Venezia in 1995 and at the 54. Biennale di Venezia in 2011.
His reportage and portraits are published by magazines throughout the world.
In 1998 he won the Kodak European Portrait Gold Award Prize as the best portrait Italian Photographer for the 1997.
He taught Portrait Photography in a workshop at the “Fachhochschule” of Muenster (Germany) in 1994 and he taught Photography at the “Scuola Internazionale di Grafica” of Venice in the academic year 2001-2002. Barasciutti\’s photographs are in public and private collections, both in Italy and abroad; on April 2003 the National Portrait Gallery of London acquired two of his works.
On 2009 Aldo Andreolo dedicates to him an essay published on the magazine “NYCVE – Italian American Magazine”(Anno VII, N.3, June-August 2009).
On 2011 an interview is published on l\’illustre” magazine (Anno 63, N.11, Dicembre 2011).
